Christmas Raffle: Win a journey of self-discovery with me.

Dear readers! 2020 has not been an easy year for us. Right about time to put a positive end to it, don’t you think? On the last day of the year, December 31st 2020, I would therefore like to invite you, yes you, to go on a special journey with me: The journey to yourself.

Dear Elena, what do you mean by that? And how can I win?

As one out of ten selected participants, I will give you one hour of my time on the last day of the year. Our shared journey of self-discovery will take place on December 31st, 2020 at 10.00 a.m. CET via Zoom, meaning that you too will play an active part in it! You will not just lean back and listen to me talking about my travel life, my book or my life as a blogger (although all of this may happen, too). There will be a lot more.

For more than two years already, I have been practicing the healing art of kimoodo, a movement-based meditation from the Far East that I got to know and love through my Taekwondo training. Twice a week, I get up ahead of my little son Liam because the breathing and energy exercises of kimoodo make me feel much better every time: Calmer, more satisfied and more balanced. This is the kind of experience I would like to share with you on the last day of the year. Especially since I also completed a short Kimoodo instructor training this spring and really feel that I have something to pass on. To me, this is the best way to actively let go of 2020, with a calm smile on our faces. I would be happy if you joined me there!

That sounds exciting! (How) Do I have to prepare for it?

I would only like to ask you to make yourself comfortable. Turn off all other devices except the computer or cell phone you use to transmit our meeting, put on a comfortable outfit and find a place where nobody will disturb you for the hour we’re together. If, like me, you have a young (or older 😉 ) child at home, ask dad,  granny, or a friend to take him or her for a walk. Your focus will certainly be well rewarded, and you will likely hear yourself say, “Wow! What an interesting way to say goodbye to 2020”.

Conditions of participation in the raffle

To participate in my Christmas raffle, all you need to do is:

  • Leave me a comment right here on my blog and tell me what you love about travelling. Perhaps my travel blog has already provided some inspiration. You can also express your curiosity and anticipation for the kimoodo exercises. From all comments received, I will choose 10 participants, who will go on the journey of self-discovery with me on December 31st, 2020.
  • As a bonus, I would naturally be happy if you could share this post on one of your social media channels. Thank you very much for that!

The Christmas raffle ends on Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at 12.00 noon. I’ll see ten of you exactly one week later, on December 31st, 2020 at 10.00 am CET via Zoom (you’ll receive an invitation link to our meeting via the email address that is required in the comment field here).

I am looking forward to seeing you. Good luck!

Where to begin!? I love the freedom of travel (and also appreciate the freedom I enjoy to travel too), the destination and its culture and sights are oftentimes wonderful, but in the end what probably resonates with me most is the people – the ones I meet and share a conversation with, plus those I just observe from afar. I’m intrigued by the sound of kimoodo too. This is a lovely idea, Elli!

Good morning Sarah,
Thank you very much for caring to comment! I love what you say about meeting people through travel, it’s the very same thing I feel grateful for myself when on the road and experiencing new cultures. And of course, I’d love sharing more about kimoodo with you, too! See you soon then x

Hola Aldana,

What I love about traveling? That is one of the hardest questions I hate answering (along with my favourite places), but its simply, to get out there, to explore, to learn, to find something and at the same time, to take in new cultures, food, practise languages. Why stay at home in front of the television when I can travel our beautiful planet, be creative and discover places with my own eyes. 🙂

Dear Danik,

Thank you very much for your comment. I truly agree with you. I could never just stay in front of the television (in fact, I hardly do at all anyway, preferring books or the company of people 😉 ) and hope that 2021 will again have us travel more and show our young children the beauty of this world, which I am sure still exists!
Lots of hugs and until we meet again x
