Getting up late. Drinking strong coffee for breakfast. Going out, drifting around the city. Buenos Aires is loud, hot, dirty and above all: Fascinating. Full of “orgullo” (pride) & “pasión“. And we haven’t even danced the Tango yet … Here is my photo essay of an easy day of letting go in Buenos Aires. Enjoy talking a walk with me!

Buenos Aires invites you for lunch at €7 a kilo (yes, they weigh your food!): For not even €3, my lunch at this local restaurant is perfectly decent.

Elena also means football: At La Boca Stadium, we inform ourselves about the first and foremost passion of the Argentine people.

The stadium museum can only convey some of the atmosphere that must make this spot magic during a “partido”: We have to come back for their next play!

Enjoying a taxi ride at summerly 30.5 °C on 6 February, 2013 … A wonderful thought for all of us from the Northern Hemisphere. 😀

Do check out the Evita Perón Museum … and especially their restaurant, which serves excellent quality food at good prices. We got this tip from our “greeter” Joaquín: There is something about insider tips.

Taking a walk in central Buenos Aires, whose avenidas sometimes total more than 20 single lanes … mind-blowing for us anyway!

Well, the relationship with the “rest of the Americans” (those from the North) is not always very good: This sign reads “Yankees go home”.

At the park, we watch kids and families play with their dogs. It’s really true what they say: “Some things will never change”.

We are real gourmet travellers. And so we have sought out this beautiful restaurant tip at Evita Perón museum for you. All over Buenos Aires really, we have not been disappointed one single time: No matter whether it was a vegetarian, pasta or meat dish – The food is simply great here. 😀
